Information about Cleocin

Clindamycin is in the class of lincomycin antibiotics. Clindamycin works by stopping the production of essential proteins needed by the sensitive bacteria to survive, in this way sensitive bacteria are killed. Use Clindamycin in order to treat serious infections caused by certain bacteria. Do not use it for treating meningitis. Do not use Clindamycin if you have an allergy to Lincomycin or any ingredient in Clindamycin or you experience antibiotic-associated colitis, Crohn disease, ulcerative colitis, or meningitis. The following conditions may interact with Clindamycin. How taken

Take Clindamycin according to the prescription of your doctor. However, read the label of the medicine carefully. Take Clindamycin with or without food, but with a full glass of water (8 oz/240 mL). Try to take it always at the same time. Continue taking Clindamycin even if you feel better. You should take the missed dose as soon as you remember and then follow your usual schedule.
